This documentary film "REMIS YANG DIRAMPAS : Kisah Perempuan Seluma Menolak Tambang Pasir Besi (2023)" by Watchdoc Documentary tells the story about a majority of women in Seluma, Bengkulu who are facing a threat because the presence of iron sand mines that operating around the coast of Seluma, adapted from the daily life of Seluma village residents.
The majority of Seluma village residents are fisherman, and the majority of the women are trying to make a living by finding a mussels, but it's ecosystem not only disturbed by the climate change, but also because of the presence of iron sand mines. Seluma's coast is a villager's protector from the large waves coming from the ocean, but the sand mines are destroying the trees around it,
My opinion on this documentary, this documentary has a lot of information that we don't know and as a young generation of this country, we have to know about this problem. The government have to help the villagers to stop he iron sand mines have to stop it's operation in order to solve the abrasion due to excessive mining activity, and also, the government need to find the solution on minimizing the climate changes impact so that the villagers could have a normal life and continue make a living by finding mussels.
